:Hi, thanks once again for your sharp eye. :-) In this case the verb is in the relatively rare "Hophal" form, and as the very name "Hophal" suggests, the first vowel takes on an "o" sound, represented here by kamatz katan. A similar thing can be found in I Kings 22:35 and in Psalms 69:3. In all of the cases the grammar indicates kamatz katan, and the masoretic literature backs this up. However, the Sephardic tradition pronounces a long kamatz in these cases. Therefore, in all places like this, we currently show the grammatical/masoretic form for those who read that way, but fully document '''both''' types, including the Sephardic one. The full documentation can be seen on the edit page (take a look). The letter ד indicates the grammatical form, and the letter ס indicates the Sephardic way of reading.
